| Report: | WOW!! A win for Beckenham! Despite getting lost (again!) on the way there, Beckenham was able to indulge in the rare luxury of having Cathy available at 1 and Tracy boosting the middle order. Mira had been delayed in town but had to go on court as soon as she arrived, so Sue managed to win for Cascades at 5 before Mira had got her breath back. However, Cathy, Alison and Tracy managed 3-0 wins at 1, 2 and 3 respectively before Angie and Maggie decided to get their money's worth out of their match. Angie won the first 2 games with typically stylish stroke play, but Maggie battled back to take the match 3-2.
This evening will also be well remembered for Ann's salad - "Well, I only put in a few bits of chilli." I reckon we've all made a good recovery!! |
