| Report: | Old Elt's were hoping for a good start to the season with a successful pre-season training (a pub crawl in Blackheath over the weekend). First on, Justyn v Courtney, Justyn was never going to beat Courtney on fitness so was hoping for a quick 3-0 win, it didn't happen and Courtney run out a worthy winner in 5. Steve v Korin, surely Korin should be playing at 1, Steve never stood a chance not that he realised that but still lost 3-0. Pat v John, Pat had his chances but John always just had the edge on the night. Myself Richard (I will call myself Dick to save confusion and on the night was a apt name). So Dick v Richard, with Dick not capable of keeping the ball out of the tin Richard run out a worthy winner and surely should be playing further up the order and one day he will probably play at one :o) Bob v Richard with Bob given the task of salvaging some pride for Old Elt's he didn't disappoint and won in 5 with Richard so exhausted he could barely stand up. On the nite old elts got stuffed and waterfront were worthy winners with some good new signings. so much for pre-season training ! |
