| Report: | A good atmosphere at Bexley with two matches going on Bexley 1 v Dulwich on the glass backs, Bexley 2 v Tunbridge Wells on the outside courts.
Dulwich turned up with a strong team but without Mr Barry for a change which was a welcome relief.
Ben vs Neil, didn't see much of this but it was a see-saw affair with Neil taking the lead twice before finally losing in the 5th. Experience showing through for Ben in the end
Josh vs Jim, some long hard rallies with honours shared after 2 games, in the 3rd, youth prevailed and Josh tightened up his width and started to put Jim under more pressure by taking the ball earlier. In the end a tough 3-1 win.
Mark vs Humberto, Humberto was struggling from the start and after limping for 2 games finally conceded the match. You need to be 100% to run around with Mr Steeden.
Brad vs Andy, Brad playing well took the 1st with Andy making mistakes at key points, the 2nd was the crucial game lasting over 20 mins, it was Andy who took it and the momentum changed. After that it was Andy who controlled things and took the match 3-1
Ryan vs Jon, in the battle of the subs it was Jon who controlled the rallies with Ryan moving well, in the end it was Jon who took it 3-0 but it was by no means easy.
Great food for those who stayed (after a minor fuse problem in the kitchen!) and a good win for the 2nd team as well so all in all a good night for team Bexley.
Tunbridge Wells are back again next week to play the 1st team but with a full quota of players, bugger.
