Report: | On paper this looked like every match would go 3-2.
Strange night with four one sided matches but the decider went the distance!
Richie and Josh suffered from a heavy training session earlier in the day and both struggled. Stuart had just enough to beat Mike who hit some lovely winners but also some not so great tins, in the end it was the tins that made the difference.
Brad had the measure of Jack, with lack of match practice hindering Jack.
So the match was nicely poised at 2-2 when Duane and Mark took to the court. Duane, fresh from his appearance in the world masters (plus all the training that went with it!) took the first two but Mark extended the rallies whenever possible (mainly because he couldn’t hit any winners), this seemed to take its toll on Duane and the legs just didn’t have enough energy for the final three games and Mark won 3-2, 80 mins later.
Nice chicken and salad for those who stayed and revenge for the first half defeat but not a great amount of points. Who cares though as the sun is out!
