Report

Report:Depleted PL1 hosted depleted T.Wells last night. Very little to report really. Over and done with quite quickly leaving the big match between PL3 and Dulwich as the main event. TW were only able to field 4 players, so PL were off to a good start.

First up London snr v Crawcour.
This was the battle of the excuses as Matt "I didn't get back from holiday until 3am this morning" played Clive "I've barely picked up a racket in 4 months". Sadly, CIBPUARI4 won this battle easily as MIDGBFHU3TM dinked flicked and held his way to a comfortable victory. The author was totally unable to make head or tail of what was going on.

Meanwhile on the graveyard court, Beevers v Newberry.
Didn't see any of this but Darren looks to have contested the first two games well, narrowly losing out, before by his own admission running out of steam in the 3rd.

Next on London jnr v Payne.
This looked to be a reasonable game for two games with Colin struggling to get to the front but otherwise competing well. At the beginning of the 3rd however a slightly awkward movement led to Colin tweaking something and after a brief test, that was it with the big man unable to continue.

So, the last match - Nickalls v Powell.
Didn't see a ball of this one, being on marking duties, but it looks as though the scoreline sums it up fairly well. Tom, another one on the way back from injury seemed pleased to have got through it unscathed.

Not an auspicious occasion on any level really. A typical holiday season encounter with the visitors snatching the spoils.
