Report

Report:1st up were the two captains in what turned out to be the match of the night. These guys have played each other a few times of late and they are always close battles. Ravi saved 4 match points in the 4th a 5th sets before closing out a tense 5th set.

On the other court Jack and Chris fought out a topsy tervy match. The 4th set seemed to be going Chris's way until Jack put on a spurt to pull it back to 8-8 but he could not keep on top of Chris who finished it with a some good shots.

Back on the other court Alex and Pip were squaring up. The first looked close but Pip was just a bit steadier and he took confidence from this to take the second quite quickly. The third set seemed to be going the same way but Alex then dug in and saved 6 match points and started to close the score up but could not prevent Pip from finishing things. Could have got interesting if Alex could have taken the 3rd set as Pip looked in more trouble than Alex during that set.

On the other court Antonio was making Stuart work for his points early on. The 2nd set was the key set as it was very close and it looked like Stuart was going to take it until Antonio called 1 point at 8-8. Antonio knew what he was doing and he quickly made it 2-0. This made things easier for Antonio in the 3rd set and he ran out a clear winner.

Final match on was Dave and Tom. Dave was making things difficult for himself and Tom was eating up the chances but looked sharp. Things got worse for Dave in the 2nd set and Tom seemed to gain in confidence and was taking all his chances. The gap widened in the 3rd set and Tom ran out a clear winner.

Solid win for Dulwich 2 although it could have been a different score if Jack had taken the 4th in his match and Ian had won one of his match points.
