| Report: | A great night at bexley with a big crowd to watch the top two teams battle it out.
The atmosphere was electric and it was the lower order who stole the show.
Tim was too strong for Ben in the first two games hitting perfect lengths, it was only in the third when the pace dropped slightly that Ben got a look in but by then damage had been done.
I didn't see much of Ron and Will's game but from the reaction of the crowd at the end it was the match of the night, will just nicking it 9-7 in the fifth..
Didn't see any of Richie and Neil but by all accounts Richie was just too strong for Neil.
After giving Andy a 6-0 start in the first, things got going for Mark and looked strong until 6-2 up in the 3rd, Andy then mounted a comeback and at 8-4 up in the 4th looked home and dry, after some monster rallies and some superb retrieving from Mark we was back at to 8 all and a 5th looked inevitable but after a cheap stroke and then a perfect length from Andy the game was over.
Josh finished off the match with a strong 3-0 victory against Humberto to make the match score respectable.
No domino's on a friday so it was Captain Steeden who provided the curry which seemed to go down well.
More of the same in 3 weeks when we do it all again! |
