Report: | Not long after epic the Xmas battle Dulwich entertained Bexley at fortress Giant Arches as the second half got under way with another big clash. Unfortunately, the SKY cameras were off covering Paul Lambert’s last match in charge of Villa but a healthy crowd turned up to cheer the home side.
First up Neil & Ben took to Z-court and whilst the post Christmas movement wasn’t always pretty the racket work made up for it to the delight of the audience. Neil started well and edged the first, but Ben started to control the rallies and Neil started to fade as he was moved from corner to corner eventually going down in four.
Fresh from his court duties at the ATCO Finals, Woody eased back into English squash with a good performance against Josh. Having battled hard to win the first, he started to use his trademark angles and flicks in the second to unsettle the youngster easing home in three.
Richie has been in fine form, so the encounter with Tim was eagerly anticipated. After the first this appeared misplaced as the youngster romped through it with the Dulwich player not at the races. However, never one to give his scalp away too easily Tim prodded and probed for ways to win points and managed to sneak the second. The third followed the pattern of the first with Richie finding the Nick, and Tim not getting to the ball. However, the match was far from over as Tim took the fourth and then raced to 6/0 in the fifth. Richie responded and pegged things back to 6/8 but to the delight of the crowd the ball found the tin at the second match ball.
Across the club Will was making it a bad night for the Masters family as there was no need for a Will strop as he closed things out three nil. Employing old man lobs, that he used to claim should be banned, Will controlled the rallies against Brad and continued his good run of form into 2013.
Last on was a battle royale, not between a couple of Queens, but a couple of wily campaigners who worked the ball around before putting in deft drops and volleys to win the rally. There was very little in it as Andy stole the first 9/7, Christian nicked the second 9/7 and there followed a bizarre third. Christian won 7 straight rallies to lead 7-0 and Andy then won 10 straight rallies to win 9/7. Au! Beaten but not defeated Christian battled hard in the fourth, but again Andy held his nerve to win it also 9/7.
Afterwards there was chat about Shabana’s consummate ability to hit it in the Nic,olleys was served and another good night of Priory squash was enjoyed.

Away Report: | Another good match.
Shame it's the first match of the second half, the league is pretty much sorted now barring any slip ups from Dulwich |
