Report: | A great night against Dulwich 3 with many games going the distance which severly hampered drinking time in the bar afterwards. 10.30pm for dinner is far too late. That's what you get for some greatly contested results though.
Neil and Ian went on first. Ian saying in the bar afterwards that the match should have been his. A common claim I think but Neil took it 3-2. Warwick then went on against Alex. Warwick gave away far too many points with silly mistakes and then showed resilience in the third but it was too late and Alex' consistency won out. Guy and Antonio were next with some contraversional game ball marking decisions which were rather nailbiting. Guy finally closing his opponent out. Matt and Duncan played some good squash with Duncan's fitness being the catalyst to defeat, through some very long rallies. The final rubber was with Lee and Jack. Lee looked in control as Jack looked increasingly knackered as the game progressed. The kitchen and the bar staff were hoping for a 3-0 victory so the chips could go in the frier. Unfortunately Lee thought it would be good to let Jack get back in the game and prolong tea before ending the match. Some very close games that went to 10!
Great game and evening, let's get to the bar quicker next time!!! |

Away Report: | Shame I couldn't have made one of those 7 match points count as it would have been a nail biter for you guys for the remainder of the night with Dulwich then being 2-0 up with 3 to play. |
