| Report: | A good match and good night with Tunbridge who unfortunately were one short due to sickness.
Simon v Neil were on first. Ian the hard hitter with Simon resisting the pace at first and taking the lead. Simon should have taken the next games but blew hot and cold.... unfortunately blowing cold more than hot and allowing Ian to take the 5th game.
Lee and Neil were on at the same time. A great game with some amazing hard fought rallies. Lee finally taking it in the fifth in the time it took the rest of the match to conclude in the other court!!! Well done to both players.
In the time it took Lee and Neil to play the fourth game Guy dispatched Neil in what can only be described as a ruthless 3-0 slamming. Neil only gettting three handouts in the last 2 games.
Paul and John were the last on with both players fighting very hard for each rally and many a shot winning the point just above the red line for some great finishes from each side. A final 5th game of the night giving victory to Paul in a 9-1 finish not representative of the match.
And Warwick? He had a few pints enjoying the walkover whilst his team mates declaring it was the most points won that season.
Great conversation in the bar afterwards if only marred by the frequest references to the latest X factor results.... come on people! |
