Report: | Bromley were too strong for the Dulwich 2nds and wreaked their revenge for the 2-3 defeat they suffered at home in the first half of the season. There were some close matches with three five setters. So some exciting stuff but unlike the game at Old Trafford rain was never going to rescue the home team here. Barnes had match balls and failed to convert. Kettle took the match to five though James seemed to be playing with an injury and notwithstanding that took the fifth game to win 3-2. Armstrong had been on and off quite quickly not staying with the pace of his opponent.
Lewis was far too clever for Will and that left Clarky in the surprise result of the night as he scraped home with a 3-2 win over Neil.
There was some exciting stuff on court though maybe not for the purists with a lot of shot making, it was tremendous for the watching public.
Good social with the Bromley lads afterwards. |
