Report: | This match started with a comprehensive 3-0 win for Blackheath whilst Ben had lost the first game and was down in the second, the Dulwich 4th attempt to restart their season was looking like it was going nowhere. The next hour was spent with Ben and Tom on one court and Chris and Roald on the other, Ben recovered from 2-1 down to edge a 3-2 with his last breath. Chris stormed to 2-0 up but then Roald came right back, the decisive battle was at 8-8 in the fourth and having won that Roald closed it out 9-1.
Two games left and 2-1 down, but Dulwich were still hopeful the depth in their team would prevail. The last two games mirrored each other, 10-8 in the first with Andrew at 5 getting stronger against a fading Nico and Sean at 4 fading against Ville. So onward and upward remains the motto for the Dulwich's 4ths as they have nowhere else to go. |
