Report: | The pick of the evening matches were the 1 and 2's. Even halfway through the first game stuart was pretending to be "tired!!!" and mike claimed to be a "hacker" but at least an hour later they were still running like mad men. In one particular rally it was almost like a pratice session, mike at the front lobbing, stuart at the back volley dropping, eventually stuart prevailed in the rally and the match.
Myself at two against tony was another long match with dan from amida marking, it was not easy for him with some difficult calls to make. And at matchball in the fifth for myself, with a drive down the line which was difficult to tell in or out, tony expected the ball to be called out, half gave up, gave a easy ball which i volleyed the ball into the cross court nick only for the marker to call the ball out down the line, much to my dismay, tony then claws back to 8-8 but i eventually win 10-8, which was little consalation as we had already lost the match 4-0
ashley was too strong for dan, although they had a similar game
grant self destructed at 7-3 up in the second having lost the first 9-0, only winning one more point
paul came up against a strong mike playing at 5. looking fit and free from injury ( for a change!! ) mike powered his way though the first two, wobbled abit in the third but finished off the game
Cascades out in force with bob turning out to supply the curry mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
