| Report: | Two cracking matches at numbers 1 and 3. Number 3 seeds were on first and James took a 2-0 lead only for Neal to fight back in a close third game and then to level it in the fourth. His game plan worked and Neal won in five. Similarly at number 1 Neil took a 2-0 lead only for Jamie to fight back and save his match by taking it 3-2 with another remarkably close scoreline.
Chris was hitting the ball well against Sam, whose muscles seemed to have been overworked elsewhere, building. Sam fought back in the third to take into a fourth game but on the night Chris was too quick and won 3-1. That left Will and Michel. Michel played some tough shots and looked like taking the first game. Will however does not know when to give in and just stayed in the rallies making his oppoenent play the extra shot, which eventually paid off. After two long games, Michel's fitness suffered and Will came home 3-0.
Enjoyable match and no doubt the return will be much tougher if Bromley get their full team out. |
