| Report: | Dulwich entertained Bexley Seniors this week after the Juniors last week and we will have the Elder Statesmen next week in the national over 35 championships. First on was the match of the match of the night, Olly Ruff playing Matt Badger. old university chums, they last played fifteen years ago, when Olly won. Matt however has improved a little, in Olly's assessment and so it was. However not after an hour of competitive and competetnt squash. The turning point was possibly in the third game when at 9-8 up Olly was winning the rally to give him game ball but fluffed a forehand volley drop. Matt seized the advantage both physicallya nd psychologically to win that game. In the fourt Matt held match ball and Olly saved four match balls before taking the game 12/10. That took its toll and after some early errors in the fifth, Olly was unable to stay with Matt who won 3-2.
Next on were Ben and Chris. No surprises here. Chris came second. Meanwhile Neal and Matt Green had started their game. Neil's fitness was the key to this as he lengthened the rallies to push Matt out of his comfort level and to take the game 3-0.
Sean against Ron saw Bexley win and take the match overall. Sean was close to taking the game into a fourth but Ron proved to have the greater control and won 3-0. That left Dave against Jack at number 3. Dave played his finest squash of the season to win 3-0 and give the home team some badly needed points.
