| Report: | Disasterous start to the season for the newly crowned Cornwallis cup champions of Kent (for the second year running!!). Surely the most sought-after title in all of Kent?!!
Once again Bexley were "caught out" by the tricky Cricketers at the start of the season!
First up Matt vrs Michel. A close tie last season (10-8 to Matt in the fifth) but it wasn't to be as close this time. Matt capitalising on Michel's pre-season preparation of pies and beer!!
On the other court, new boy Lee faced Ian....at 5! Ian clearly turned up in the mood for fighting....he already had a 5in wound on his forehead. Rumour has it that he had head-butted a mirror when the person in it had looked at him "funny". Ian won 3-1. I'm told it was a close match.
Joss was in no mood for rallies beating Jeremy 3-0...and still maintaining his unbeaten Priory record...repeat...JOSS HAS NEVER LOST A MATCH IN THE PRIORY!!
Mr Falla came up against his "bogey" player Lewis at 1. The "bogey" ran him ragged in the first game 9/0 with Steve only serving twice!! After that it thankfully got closer but the "bogey"'s (sorry Lewis!) shots were too good for "49+1" year old Steve
With the games at 2-2, it was down to Tony and Rob. Well, the first game was close, the second game was not and the third was close at the start!! Tony played the correct game and also deployed the scariest stare in the league to good effect to seal the 3-2 win for BCC.
