Report: | Holiday Boys Get BCC Back To Winning Ways
A full strength BCC took on a weakened Park Langley in a battle for the Runner Up Spot.
Handsome James and El Capitano were back from Nice and Global Gathering sporting great tans, King Lewy was back from a wedding in Prague, whilst Dutch Prodigy was beaming after proposing to his long term girlfriend Laura! ( I can hear the groans from all those single women out there!)
JT vs Adam (No 4)
Troubled times for JT, yet to win a match this season, he bounces between mediocrity one week and then plain awful the next. A rejuvanated Adam was ruthless in his dismissal of JT, even managing to dodge the odd flying racquet.
Some much needed counselling will be needed for JT before our match against Biggin Hill nxt week.
King Lewy Vs Clive (No 1)
El Capitano had the pleasure of marking this marathon. King Lewy was still feeling the effects of all that Czech vodka, and titty bars, whilst Clive was single handly trying to revive Park Langley.
The 1st two games were long affairs, with long rallies, and multiple trick shots from King Lewy. However Clives' retrieving was amazing and he took the first two.
In the 3rd King Lewy was back to his best, with some outrageous winners, and also some lucky bounces.
Clive though, was not to be beaten though and he rounded off an impressive win and put Park Langley into a 2-0 lead.
Handsome James Vs Pratt (No 2)
Blondie against Pratt has been a common fixture over the last couple of years, as they both came up through the Kent ranks. Blondie was looking for his 2nd win, whilst Pratt was trying to avoid his 2nd loss in 3 years, (and 2 matches).
El Capitano was still marking King Lewy at the time, but judging by Adams' reactions, Pratt was not playing too well, (at one stage Adam punched a cardbox, ripping a big hole in the side). Handsome James was tight and on form, and he took the 1st two easily.
Pratt seemed to get a 2nd wind and began to wear Handsome James down. However Handsome James saved several game points in the 4th, and put BCC back in the match.
El Capitano Vs Andy/Adam - whatever his name is (No 5)
Andy fought bravely in this match and played some intelligent squash, whilst El Capitano put in his usual performance. Thought he would win easy, but then got rattled when Andy had the audacity to play a winner. Stiff legs (from dancing all weekend) and a severe lack of fitness meant that El Capitano was pushed all the way by Andy.
El Capitano managed to just close out each game to win 3-0. Good job dad wasn't there, as he would have been mystified by the amount of expletives that came out of El Capitanos' mouth.
Dutch Prodigy Vs Matt (No 3)
The match was all square at 2-2, could Dutch Prodigy cap an amazing week and give BCC a win?
I know his mum and Wife To Be will probably read this, so a special mention must go to Dutch Prodigy - who has had an amazing week.
First he secured a new job, and then after much prodding, got on his hands and knees in the Chislehurst Caves, and Proposed to Laura.
Fortuneatly for BCC, the wedding plans didn't seem to affect Dutch Prodigy, who ended up winning comfortably 3-0.
Hopefully all the plans around the wedding won't affect his performances in the weeks to come.
As usual the meal afterwards was great. Banter mainly flowed around Dutch Prodigy's romanticism, and also how his life is going to dramtically change, now he has the ball and chain around his neck.
