| Report: | This one really turned on Steve P's match. Bit of a case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as Steve looked totally in control despite looking so laid back he was almost horizontal.
Jack just hung in there and let Steve beat himself. One of these days I'm convinced I'm going to understand what is going on inside Steve's head with some of his shot selections, but it's about 15 years and counting so far. Plenty of effort in bursts but so many mistakes on shots that just weren't there.
Steve L and Josh had a quality encounter with Steve turning in his best performance for some while. Very disciplined and controlled.
The author and Ant vied for the "least times played recently" trophy, with the author seemingly much less affected and retaining control throughout.
Simon and Nick both went down 0-3. The former probably hasn't played at all since his last Priory game in February, and Brad is far too good for that to be a winning combination. Nick is just back from a(nother) long term injury, and despite a couple of game balls in the 1st, was eventually overwhelmed by Shaun.
