| Report: | Keith and Jon kicked the night off with Keith moving Jon around the court and Jon struggling to get enough air. However Jon fought back to take the 2nd and despite putting up a spirited fight for the 3rd & 4th lost in 4. Ron & Kevin were on the other court and there was obviously a disagreement over the marking decisions Ron feeling he was hard done by lost in 3. Ashton and Benn followed this by by good shots and good retrievals but Benn always had the upper hand winning in 3. Ian (struggling to find best form) and Dave (Just back from holiday) went on and Dave took immediate control winning the first 9-1, Ian came back to take the 2nd 9-8, but the third and 4th were repeats of the first Dave winning in 4. Finally the captains got on court Andy looking for revenge from the first half. However Terry came out strong for the first 2 9-6, 9-0, this stung Andy into action who took the next 5-9 and came back well in the 3rd taking it 9-8, However Andy hadn't taken into account Tubby's reserves and Tel won the last 9-5. |
