| Report: | As usual Ian started slow and got better after each game. Comfortable 3-0 win in the end. Good job Leigh didn't spot Ian's two large black knee braces that he had to keep re-strapping after every other rally otherwise Leigh might have thought about trying a few more drop shots!
Another good win for Mike who won a close fought match and just managed to edge it at the business end of each game.
It was always going to be tough for Keeley but she didn't help herself by making too many unforced errors. All over in 15 minutes and that included foreplay.
After nearly being run over in the car park by one of my own team (thanks Mike), I should have guessed it wasn't going to be my night. The games were well contested but Tom had the edge in each and made fewer mistakes than me. Even getting smashed in the face by Tom's racket didn't warrant a let according to the marker. At least you can't say our markers favour their own team mates!
I was playing during Dan's match so no idea how it went except that Dan got the crucial win to take the match 3-2.
After food & drinks I made a quick getaway in case there were any more lunatic drivers hanging around in the car park. |
