| Report: | In a real come-down from last week Bromley were taken apart by a consistent Pavilion team. Bromley lost its No 1 to illness at 6.30 so there was no hope of a replacement with just 1 hour to go. Kelvin looked promising after his first game but Hilton clocked him with his raquet and then never looked back. Paul was unlucky not to take at least one game in a very close match with some tight calls and Ray deserved his hard-fought game against Richard in perpetual motion. Mike Schmidt was too fit and accurate for Peter who was mentally elswhere (eg Finland two days earlier - oh, the sauna...). Pavilion marches on.. (not its stomachs, obviously!) |
