| Report: | A match of two halves if ever there was one for this top of the table clash.
PL were pretty weakened without their 1 and 2 strings out and some old duffer injured AGAIN at 3.
Within 20 minutes PL were 2/0 in matches down and not a point on the board, good start !!
Jack at the dizzy heights of 1 was being cleverly dismantled by Justin for the first game and a half before he looked to me to just take his foot off the gas slightly.
Jack battled hard and sneaked the second and from there on it was nip and tuck all the way.
Jack finally held his nerve and took a terrific win in five.
Well done to Justin for competing like a true gent when the support from the cheap seats was more than loud !
Andy did a clinical job against Ken with a good 3/0 win.
The last game was one of those games where Ferg simply could not put a foot wrong.
Everything was accurate including the flukes !!
So the most unlikely of wins with one more match to go.
Personally can't wait for this season to end but from a team squash evening perspective, another really enjoyable evening with another good bunch of lads.
This league seems to be littered with good teams who love the banter as much as their squash.
Long may it continue. |
