| Report: | I've a feeling match reports will be a lot shorter this season, since there's only so many ways you can say "we got chopped". First match of a long season to come v Bexley last night, with the new look PL side sans entire top order.
Ben eased through against Gina who tried to go for a few too many shots. The typical response when you know someone is going to return everything with interest, only it has the opposite effect as you end up going for too much.
Jack had a marathon with Mark, but was unable to convert his 2-1 lead. Nevertheless, this was a good effort and contributed to a surprisingly competitive match given the overall match scoreline.
Nick was off in fairly short order and I didn't see any of it
The author had a tough game with Gary. Sadly a 10-8 lead in the 1st and a 9-5 lead in the 2nd for the author came to naught and the 3rd was a formality for Gary to wrap up a 3-0.
Last on/off was new boy Paul who put up a sterling performance in taking Shaun to the wire, ultimately just failing to convert it into a win. |
