Report

Report:After teams were decided an email was distributed to the TWells faithful to try to drum up some support for the match.

So with baited breath at least 15 people were waiting for the 1st string match to kick off ON TIME at 19:30.

Jason v Tim
Tim started off on the ball and thou the first game was close Tim looked in control for most of it, at 10-8 up Jason hit a couple of lucky nicks to take the game to 10-10 but Tim didn't panic (why would he) and took the game 12-10. The second was much of the same but no close ending. Much to the home crowds delight Jason upped the pace in the 3rd and took it 11-8 but this was to be his downfall.

Tim came out in the 4th and delivered what can only be described as a master class of squash. Nothing fancy, don't remember a roll out but absolutely wonderful squash none the less. Jason went home tired but at least with a Bagel 11-0 to Tim.

Jonny v Antonio
Didn't see a rally off this as I was on court but Jonny's only comment was he was knackered by the 4th point but even so, considering the 3rd game a good 3-0 Win for Antonio. 0-3

Martin v Dave
Again being on court not a point was seen, but Martin looks to be getting back to fitness but just got squeezed out in 5 by Dave, Martin & Jonny (Who marked) were having a long discussion afterwards but I have no idea what it was about sorry.

Dean v Jim
Guess what ! a 5 setter, Jim won the first at a stroll (should have been 11-1), The second close 13-11 to me, the 3rd Jim didn't turn up and in the 4th he did. Jim seemed to be in control in the 5th but I caught up at the crucial bit, went 11-10 up stuffed a forehand drive into the Tin that would have won the match then Jim played two great rallies to win 13-11 in only 1:17 mins. 2-3

Jolyon v Neil
Having taken a Game of the WR68 Richie Fallows on Friday this should have been a stroll for Jolyon. Unfortunately he looked a little tired or Neil was just too good and covered the court far to well. Neil was always in control and finished the match with a backhand cross court roll out just to prove the point. 0-3

A nice curry and some squash discussion on why Mosaad just gave Gaultier the point in THAT last rally.
