| Report: | In frosty conditions, a depleted but spirited Tunbridge side turned up to Park Langley.
Making his season debut for the 3s Nick was first up against his namesake. I didn't see any of the game but judging by the scoreline it looks like Nick S hit more nicks than Nick D and managed to nick it 3-0.
"slow start" Tom defied his alias and looked to be playing well in his BRIGHT GREEN SOCKS to go 1-0 up vs Martin. I didn't see any more after this as I was playing but Martin must have put his distractions from the BRIGHT GREEN SOCKS aside as he took the next 3 games.
Graveyard court then played host to Captain Rich and Paul. Good game which saw Rich get through both rackets but somehow get himself 2-1 up. Paul, not to be deterred, used all his experience and embraces a fight to the death to take it at the last moment!
Nilen and Anthony were at this time trading winners with each other in their match, sharing 4 games before Nilen surrendered a gift at match point down with an out or court service and Anthony closed out.
Last up Sam was playing Superman Will, a pretty straightforward win although Will turned on the gas in the last game and a half which Sam did well to combat. Must be all that salad he's eating these days...
