Blackheath got themselves off the bottom of the table for the first time since the opening day of the season. Their 18-4,4-1 win over Old Elthamians gave them some late Christmas cheer.
After Fitness Exchange won 16-6,3-2 at Wildernesse, and Tunbridge Wells crushed Sydenham, 20-1,5-0, the top two have now opened up a gap of more than 50 points ahead of the rest.
