Div.1 - DUL SUMMER START FOR HOLDERS
18 May 2006

After winning their last 5 games of summer 2005 to win the league, Biggin Hill's defence of the title began with a 14-6,3-2 defeat at the hands of Dulwich. With the holders only having 4 players, was it a coincidence that, on the morning after the first night's action, the website was only allowing for the results to be entered as 4-a-side matches? Park Langley, the last team to beat Biggin Hill in that summer, kicked off the campaign by beating Cascades 20-3,5-0. Bromley C.C. started off in their usual opening fixture style by edging out strongly fancied Bexley 15-8,3-2. But do they realise that it's a marathon and not a sprint? New boys Amida (mostly ex-Fitness Exchange) went down 14-7,3-2 at home to Cannons.
