After their reprieve from relegation due to the restructuring of this summer's divisions, who would have thought that Bromley Lawn Tennis could have managed a 20-7,5-0 win over Park Langley, to become unlikely early promotion contenders?
A regrouped Wildernesse side overcame Sundridge Park 18-7,4-1.
Waterfront, who narrowly missed out on promotion last season, began their campaign with an 18-7,3-2 defeat of division 4 new boys Dulwich.
Bromley Pavilion were given a walk-over by Cannons.
