WORLD NO.33 AT BIGGIN HILL TONIGHT!
10 Dec 2007

Monday 10th December is a diary date everyone should have firmly fixed in as the Biggin Hill 1st Team take on the fearsome Dulwich in a top of the table clash. Dulwich's form this winter season has been nothing short of superb as they have brushed aside their opponents to rack up an impressive 7 league wins from 7. Headed up by current world No.33 Daryl Selby, this Dulwich team have a defiant strength right down the order where their 5th man is even a county player. So it would seem there is only one team to stop them, the Biggin Hill boys, who have also won all of their matches this winter season. In fact, the Biggin Hill 1st team are now into their 3rd consecutive season without loss and have amassed a staggering 49 matches unbeaten. They haven't however met a team quite like this Dulwich team. Hill are headed up by the new superstar signing Farzan Rasheed whom at just 19, has claimed the crown of Pakistan Junior champion and British Open semi finalist. With his mind-blowing speed and awesome shot range, his tie against the Dulwich hitman is going to be one explosive encounter. Next on the order at No.2 is the Biggin Hill late call up Rory Pennalls. He'll be paired up against the in-form Clive Du Toit who has been a huge boost to Dulwich in is debut season. At No.3, Biggin Hill’s ex professional Alex Mayle has a tough match on his hands against Dulwich’s Andy Moore whom in their last encounter put on a superb display to defeat Alex 3-2. The No.4’s have some history too with Biggin Hill’s Over 45 Kent county player Gordon McManus v the supremely fit and ruthlessly competitive Will Brownsden. Their last fixture in Dulwich’s backyard proved to be the decider and enabled Hill to edge through 3-2. The final match is between Mr. Reliable Mark Lennox (an ex England ranked player himself) and another rock-solid Dulwich opponent and Kent county player, Duncan Marlow. These two have played on at least 3 occasions with Lennox winning the lion’s share. So with the line up this good, the Biggin Hill viewing galleries and brand new stands are set to be jam packed, not least with Dulwich supporters, rumour has it they have hired a coach to transport their army or fans. However you can’t beat home support, and that’s what Biggin Hill are banking on so please come down get behind either team as all are welcome – it’s going to be one hell of a night! Matches start from 7.45pm..
