LEAGUE WINNERS GO TO LAMBS

Due to the great response we’ve had from the team captains, players and supporters; it has now been decided that the presentation of the Winter League 2005/06, and Summer League 2005 Divisional trophies will also be staged at Lambs squash club on Tuesday 11th April 2006. It was thought that if teams were prepared to trek all around the North West Kent Priory for a whole season, they wouldn’t mind the jaunt to London - especially if the Cup Finals are on show too!
The finals of the ‘A’ & ‘B’ Cup (Main & Plate) will be played over eight of Lambs’ courts. The line up will be as follows:
7pm ‘A’ & ‘B’ Cup Plate finals across four courts
7.20pm ‘A’ & ‘B’ Cup Main finals across remaining four courts
10pm (approx) Presentation of Winter & Summer League trophies (all five divisions), & Cup Winners & Runners up
In a bid to help fund the event, there will be a programme available to spectators. It will contain information on all the teams competing on the night, how they got to the finals, and maybe even individual player profiles with cup performance stats! Also included will be the final standings of the Winter Leagues. The price of the programme is £10 and for that, you’ll also get a buffet dinner as listed below.
· Selection of sandwiches
· Spicy Potato Wedges with Salsa Dip
· Tandoori Chicken with Yoghurt and Mint Dressing
· Selection of Quiche Slices
· Cheese and Vegetable Parcels
· Pizza Fingers
For the teams competing in the finals, the League has offered to pay for each players buffet dinner (as above). It is however requested that each player make a contribution of £5 to help cover the venue and court costs – not bad for a great evening out!!
So, with only a few games left in the League, and the Cup’s latter stages fast approaching there’s all to play for. It’s hoped this Finals and Presentation evening will add to the excitement, and of course make a fantastic conclusion to the season.
