BIGGIN HILL CHAMPS ONCE AGAIN
09 Oct 2008

The Biggin Hill 1st team once again stamped their authority on the Priory League after yet another unblemished summer season. Hill, who won an impressive sixteen matches in row to claim the summer title, were delighted to be back to winning ways. Their only blemish over the last few years came at the hands of a superb Dulwich side who pipped them at the post on the final match of the 2007/08 winter season. Captain, Mark Lennox, who has amassed an incredible nine league and cup titles with Biggin Hill since 2005 will now leave first team management to ex England junior Captain Toby Mortimer. Lennox said, "I've loved being captain of Biggin Hill and helping raise the profile of the club along with players and co-managers (including Ray Bushell) however, I'd like to take a back seat now and leave it to Toby. He's one of those guys who has the presence and commitment to lead us onto many more titles to come". Lennox's choice to play 'up the order' takes him to No.2 in Biggin Hill's 2nd team (still in Division 1) under the captaincy of master tactician Ray Bushell.
