| Report: | They've only gone and done it.... Bromley CC 3 get their 1st win of the season.
On a very sweaty night at Bromley a depleted Bexley 6 team arrived minus the very talented 2 Taylor-French sisters who were away on holiday.
1st up on court we had Dan Doyle vs Robert Rowe. I only caught the last 2 games of this but it seemed a tight affair with Rob closing out the tight 4th to win 1-3.
Ross Beaumont made his long awaited return to Bromley CC with a fine 3-1 win. It was comfortable in the end with Ross dominating the T in the final stages vs a plucky Gurkan. Well done Rossman.
Tony Davies was on fire vs the very fit Anthony Walker. His length, kills and domination of the court was impressive to watch and he came out with a very justified 3-0 win. He even cracked a smile. Great stuff.
On court 3 Daniel Sweeney was waving his racket like a magic wand with some truly superb squash vs the very plucky Robert Rowe. Danny was just too good on the night. He glided round the court reading RR's shots and picked his winners with true class. Well don Dan..... a much deserved x6 Estrella's tonight !
On to the final match of the night and team captain Paul Robert's stepped up vs Dave Bird who flew right in to action taking a 6-0 lead. Paul Roberts fought back to take the game 9-7. WOW.
Game 2 saw Paul show some trademark movements but he realised now wasn't the time for Bibas dance moves and got back on with his squash. A tight game finishing 10-8 to Paul. 2-0;
Game 3 was a masterclass from the skipper. Rolling back the years Paul dominated the game from point 1. At 8-0 Paul served at match point and after a decent rally finished off Mr Bird with a diving back hand flick to the right corner. Incredible.
Well done Skip and well done Bromley CC for the 1st win of the season.
