Report

Report:A delay in getting this match entered in on the system due to a technical error which has now been corrected.

Seems like ages ago now but was a good night of squash.

1st seeds up 1st and Ian vs Rob was a very good game to watch and mark. I have to say that Robert is definitely one of the fairest players in the league so kudos to him.

Ian started off playing some lovely squash and dominated the 1st 2 games. That lung to stretch for a back hand turns in to a great cross court lob and it was doing the trick. 2-0 to Ian.

However Rob as well as being one of the fairest players is also one of the fittest and his fitness seemed to get better as he played on with Ian tiring.

Rob took the next 3 games and took a good win for Warlingham 3-2. Well played both.

I only saw a few few mins of the match taking place on the next court but Sam Warnett was once again retrieving most that Nick could throw at him. Another good win for Sam 3-1.

Giles vs Mark next and it was the battle of the lefties (not politically).
Again I was marking on next court so didnt see this. I did hear some of Giles's trademark smashes in to the tin, however despite that he managed to win 3-1.

Tony vs Brad next and this was a tricky one to mark. Brad with all the energy and speed of an antelope he was bouncing around the court and making life really hard for Tony.

A racket in to Tony's head on a follow through saw Tony take his obligatory wonder around the court leaving us all to wonder if an ambulance should be called or not............. He was fine.

Brad took an early lead in this match and it took Tony a while to get to grips with the game and tactically work it out which he is so good at doing.

Tony fought back and won the 1st and 2nd 9-6 and then took the 3rd 9-0. 3-0 to the classy vetran Tony. 3-1 to Bromley and match won.

Last on court was Stuart and Clint.
The imaginary flies were back on court as Clint took a few swipes at them ignoring the ball :-)

Stuart dominated this match and Clint simply had no answer to the left handed magician Stu.

3-0 to Stu and 4-1 to Bromley.

I would like to apologize to Brad on behalf of my beloved football club Barcelona. Brad told us he was off to Barca to watch his 1st ever game there this Saturday gone. I told him he would love it. Sadly for him it was a 0-0 draw and one of the worst games I've ever seen. Ooops !
