Report: | Aristotle told us that "A man cannot become a hero until he can see the root of his downfall"
This legendary thinker shows us that Stuart and Simon are not heroes. I believe the best definition is "man-babies".
Stuart's downfall against Craig arose as the bearded toddler skulked around the court shedding angry tears against a world which just was "NOT FAIR" when a ball that was out, was called out, and a ball that was hit back through his legs, was called a stroke.
Simon's downfall, inexplicably came after being 9-2 and 9-5 up, was that of a sauntering, spunk-filled teenager getting sparked out by the local hardman who he confidently thought he could step up to in "da club". After going behind, Andy dug in and unleashed a devastating array of nick-hitting lobs and quick dying drops. But Simon always seemed in control until... he wasn't. A fantastic call of "1" at 8-8 in the firth paid off for Andy whose boasted return of serve got him handout and then the match.
Good wins at 1, 2, and 5 for the remaining PL heroes sent the win to the home team. Good chat and beer (!) with the Bexley Park team as always. Look forward to the return. |
