| Report: | What a fantastic evening of squash and a perfect way for Warlingham to end our winter campaign by hosting our friends from Bromley CC.
As always the matches were hard fort (well maybe with the exception of mine) where I was given a lesson by Stu.
Kev and Clint played what now is becoming a regular pairing with Kev getting his revenge on their last encounter.
Rob and Dan was a game with silky skills on show but Rob was determined to end his campaign without a loss.
John and Tony had a nail biter with games swinging both ways. John couldn’t let Rob have the bragging rights of an undefeated season by winning 3-2 after coming back from 0-2 down.
Lastly and most fittingly the deciding match of the evening was between David and Sam. This cracking 5 game thriller had everything! The biggest crowd, the loudest noise, the most decisions, the longest rallies and the closest contest but somehow the jetlagged man from Zim pulled through. As always Sam and the Bromley CC team showed the top most sportsmanship throughout and we wish them the best of luck with their remaining matches. |
