Report

Report:Dulwich followed up their good start to the season with a solid performance against Cannons. The evening got of to a rocky start when I was easily beaten by Mr Sharpe at No 3. This brought me down a peg after my win last week. I made a game of it in the 2nd but was too loss and my opponant took full advantage. Think I'll do better in the return thou.
Jack is playing the best squash I've seen him play and unfortunately for Mr Fraine, Jack's good form continued during their game at No 2. Youth, speed and agility mixed with solid strokes enabled Jack to win in relative comfort.
J-P and Mr Pleasance got into a "I can hit the ball harder then you" contest at No4. The courts were warm and the ball was pinging all over the place. There was a standing ovation when one of them played a drop shot. J-P won the contest which put us 2-1 up. Sadly for Cannons Mr Colman became ill during his match with Steve at No5.(Think it was Steve's aftershave which did it) After a short break at the end of the 1st set Mr Colman bravely battled on but was clearly not himself and Steve ran out the winner. Not the way any of us wanted to see the match settled.
Jon -Marc gave his all against Mr Young at No1 but just came up short. Some nice touches from both players and a good game to watch.
I redeemed myself by providing a 'darned good meal' after. This win takes us to 2nd in the league. My mummy will be pleased!
