| Report: | PL3 CROWNED CHAMPIONS!
PL knew what they needed to do to be crowned champions and Acacia Hall needed a win to avoid relegation.
So first on Mike vs Marc
Well after Marcs injury last time it was a rematch and Marc needed a win just as much as Mike wanted one. Well Marc went off to a great started taking the first game but in the 2nd Mike had livened up to make it 1-1, and then in the 3rd Marc came back with his support at the top keeping him going and he went on to win the 3rd, but Mike can firing back and wasn't going down without a fight and with a decision made that Marc didn't like made Mike stronger to win the 4th.
So down to the 5th and both players kept going and one things for sure Mike never gives up and finally went on to win the game.
The best game i have seen Mike play all season by digging himself out of being 2-1 down and fighting back. Great last game of the season well played Mike, unlucky Marc.
On 3- Gerrald vs Bob
Didn't really get to see much of this game but heard it was a very close game with good long rallys. It turned out to be a very close game with Gerrald being 2-1 up up Bob never gives up and made it 2-2 and i just saw the last game, and Gerrald went off to a great start by going 5-0 up but Bob coming back again to make it 8-8 but in the end he just took the game 3-2, very well played by both players unlucky Gerrald,who has been very good all season well, played Bob.
On next Kev vs Dave
Kev was ready for this one and got off to a great start winning the first quite easily and was too good in the last to win 3-0. Must be all the lessons your getting on a monday night and its starting to pay off! Well done Kev, unlucky Dave.
Back to 3- Ed vs Johnson
Didn't see much of this one, but by the time i came back to court 3, Ed was 2-0 up and just starting the 3rd and Ed was just too strong throughout the game and won quite easily 3-0, must be that lucky shirt you borrowed off Mike, unlucky Johnson, well done Ed.
Moving across to 2- Matt vs Andy
Matt won he match quite easily and you can see why he has gone all season unbeaten and improved that much to be pushing for a place in the 2nd team, congratulations Matt, unlucky Andy.
So, i would like to congratulate ourselfs as no one else gives us any credit for winning, maybe we will now..
I would like to thanks Antony Nicholls, Paul Kay, Michael Currie and Matt Boatwright for helping us out through the season and would like to thank Trevor who couldn't play the last 2 games as he was away on holiday, he played a big part in the team.
And many thanks to Malcolm Meadows who didn't play all season but attended every match and we did him proud by winning it for him.
Unlucky Acacia Hall
Finally a PL team has won something, what a surprise its the 3rd team that no one talks about..
