Report: | A good away win for a much rotated Bromley team which went to the death and it was down to the No.1s to play out the deciding game at the end of the evening.
A comfortable win for Mike at 3 with Guy making far too many errors. Alan apparently strolled into a 2-0 win but then seriously ran out of steam. Still could have won having taken a commanding lead in the 5th but Dave kept coming back and ran out worthy winner. Alistair and Paul played out a tactical game, both playing to their strengths, lobbing and dropping accurately. Enjoyable to watch, played in great spirit and another win for Ali.
Difficult to know what to say about Graham's game. As we all know with his ability, power and technique he should not be losing matches in this manner - but he does! It was not for the lack of effort either as proved by the familiar "glowing" features at the end of the match. Mark as ever just kept on running.
Now to the No.1s. Tony was just off the plane having spent a long weekend in Turkey but was looking mean and moody, well unshaven anyway - the scruff! Nonetheless he powered through the first two games looking good. Mike then started to give as good as he was getting and won the 3rd with some powerful strokeplay. Tony was back in the groove in the 4th and, with Mike starting to tire, cruised through to take the match and give Bromley their second win of the season.
