| Report: | Another thumping win for Bromley, this being the third 5-0 win on the spin, keeping us clear at the top of the league, and alive our hopes of retaining last summer's league win in Division 5.
Things did not start too well though with Graham E. affectionately known as "Straight Arm" going 2 nil down on one court and Phil the Rabbit hopping around on the other court with a dodgy toe. But the pressure to stay at the top of the league, and in the team, is such that both of them dug in, stayed the course and came out with 3-2 wins,and with our Banker yet to play.
Next on was big Al, no longer Scarface -his "good" now looks restored, and he produced a big performance to win 3-0 against an increasingly exasperated Dave. However much he tried to get into the game,and he did really try, Dave was continually undone by winner after winner flowing from the Leffen racket, with the soft little drop shot particularly effective.
So match to Bromley and the Banker, yes that is Banker, still on court. Will was the victim this week and although he played some nice squash he also was on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat. It was left to Graham "Are you sure Marker" Lilley to bring the evenings' proceedings to an end. Which he did in some style, exacting revenge against Mark by reversing the 3-0 score earlier in the season.And yes Graham I was sure!! You know I am never wrong!!
