Report: | this'll be a quick one, so no spell check Karen!!
BCC needed to maximise there score here to take the game in hand advantage.
Coach v Dave
This was always going to be a tough one for Coach, ex first div player dave was the first to take a game from Coach this season. Coach dug in, and by his own admission wasn't playing very tight, took the next three to take the match 3-1. An ugly win is better than no win at all.
Big Andy v Peter
Always going to be a tussle this one. Big Andy started in fine form and dominated the first game then swtiched off, a common trait at the moment unfortunately, lost the next two and was 2-7 down in the forth. Suddenly brain started working again and domination was the game and took it 9-7. Into the fifth and Mr Wilmore was marking!!! Peter got the edge and won the fifth.
Smiler V Posh Totty
Posh at 5 is a good bet for Cannons but Posh was a bit under the weather and while taking the second 9-4 to take the score to 1-1 didn't have enough left tank to beat smiler. Be good to see these two when both are on song, maybe in the return eh!
Chopper V Peter
What can I say, chopper's been in bed for foer days...........no.....on his own with man flue! Still trying to get rid of it so put all the effort into the first game and then got thoroughly 'Wilmored' to loose 1-3, a gallent effort.
Tricky V Mandy
All on the last match, Mr Leach was heard to tell Mandy that she should keep Tricky on court for as long as possible, roumors of Tricky's stamina are rife in the priory eh! On the court that is!! Tricky as normal stormed away to take the first 9-1, the second was a bit tougher as Mandy dug in but still took it 9-6. The third was the crucial game and as we all know Mandy is never one to underestimate and took it to the wire, at 8-8 with Tricky serving, a cotoversial decision and Dave awarded Many only a let, good call the balcony agreed, Mandy, slightly vexed tinned the next and didn't make the following. Tricky took the match for himself and the team 3-0.
A good win for both.
Man of the match - Tricky, best we've seen him play for a long time....is Tricky back?? |
