| Report: | 1ST match up was Richard v Andy at 3. Another non event like the 1st time they played with the same result 3-0 to Richard. Andy has started smoking again and it shows. Next up was Danny v Adam. I did not see much of the battle of the big boys but the scores suggest quite a close game 3-1 to danny. Graham v Jack was an unusual game, Graham having beaten Jack 3-0 1st time round. Jack was having none of it and was 2-0 up and 8-3 match ball in the 3rd when the wheels came off. 4 match points later and jack was beaten 9-8. The next game was horrible with Jack grizling for England losing 9-6. As captain i had to read the riot act to Jack & told him to beat his opponent not himself, which he promptly did 9-2 in the 5th.
The 1's were next in a thrilling close match with Mat winning 3-1. At times Tom appeared to give up and at the end i said he was carrying some form of injury. Dr Leon was correct because Tom has just texted Dean from the hospital with a broken toe. Last up big Andy v my son Dean. Dean wanted to avenge his 1-3 defeat from the 1st time round and finally got revenge with a 3-1 win over big Andy. The body serve hitting Andy in the 3rd was what fired Dean up i think. The food was superb as was the hospitality. A very enjoyable evening. |
