Report: | Storming result for the 3rds. Kendall was in fine form and should have wrapped up the match 3-0 but decided to play some rather unusual shots at 2-0 and 8-5 up - unusual because he could on three matchballs have put the ball anywhere into an empty court but decided to lob it out. If this was horse racing he would be suspected of match fixing. His opponent, Craig came back to take advantage of this charity, but Kendall saw the match through.
Prior to that there had been a 3-0 victory at number 5 whilst Olly was on against Simon at number two. A great game of squash, 9-7 to olly in the fifth - all the cliches spring to mind. That was match to Dulwich the club having now gone 3-0 up in rubbers.
That left Nic W to play out a 3-0 victory and Steve Shapiro to go 2-1 and matchball up before getting injured. Match fixing again?? No he really was injured. Shapiro is out for a few weeks - Bob Jaffe and his coaching is to blame I am told - Steve had a rather difficult session over the weekend.
Enjoyable match and afters. Park Langley next.
