Report: | In the never to be forgotten words of that stupid Norwegian football commentator the Bromley boys "took one hell of a beating" at the hands of Biggin Hill who in winning this match also won the Division 4 title. So many congratulations to them and in particular to Anthony Garrett and Stuart Melbourne who I think I am right in saying went unbeaten throughout this very long summer season.
Mind you Stuart held on to his unblemished record by the skin of his teeth as he came back from 8-6 down in the 5th against Alan Briscoe to finally win it 10-9. I had the pleasure of marking this marathon match and it was indeed a pleasure. Great game, great way to end the season, and played in the right competitve spirit (despite the dodgy marking). I would say that Stuart probably just about deserved to win (although Alan certainly didn't deserve to lose) if only for his willingness to chase everything down and never give up.
Not a lot to say about the other games most of which were over by the time I had finished marking. Suffice to say that the scores probably speak for themselves.
