| Report: | A thrilling night of squash last night saw dartford spank Bexley 4-1.
1st up Elliott had a mare against Alistair hill losing 0-3. a very poor performance from elliott and a good win for Alistair. At the same time dean v Bruce wilton Dean started like a train winning 9-0 then bruce settled down to some steady squash. I thought this one would be down to who made the most errors and it was Dean so Bruce won 3-1 9-0 in the 4th. Next up Steve wyatt had a very comfortable win 3-0 over Stuart gotts at 3. Hany v Graham at 2 started well for hany winning 9-1 but graham ground him down in a very tight match 3-1 graham 9-7 in the 4th.
Last up the one's was the best match of the night. Michael Breen V Nick peel. Nick went 6-0 up in the 1st only to lose 9-7. Michael led all the way in the 2nd 6-2 7-2 7-6 8-6 only to lose 9-8. Similar 3rd game michael leading 6-2 8-4 8-6 but this time winning 9-6. The 4th was nip & tuck all the way going to 7-7 before Nick nicked it 9-7. Both players were very tired now and Michael raced away yet again to 5-1 up. Nick was having none of it and dug in a treat. It was now a game of bottle and errors. Michael made the errors Nick stayed calmer and won from 1-5 down to 9-5 for his 3-2 win. A great game to mark and watch finished at 10.40. Chicken chasour followed with good banter. In fact we could not shut Nick up and had to throw him out of the club at 11.45 so they could lock up. A lovely fella that Nick and we look forward to the return game at Dartford. |
