Report: | Dartford, the first half league leaders came to visit. They had given us a good hiding on our first meeting, perhaps time for revenge?. As we now have our new No 1 Joe who has helped our order no end.
First up was Darren, a few Christmas puddings short of his best, but still managed to put the game away 3-0. Our Terry followed and started as they he was on a mission. Bruce put up a game fight but there was only going to be one winner. Two up - looking good. On goes Carlos, well if Darren had a few puddings Carlos had bagged the whole trolley load. Not a good idea against Stuart, one of the best 3's in the league. Carlos was duly despatched 3-0.
Johns turn against Graham. Tremendous quality of squash from both players, good grit from John to get it to 2-2 but Grahams technique and form came through in the fifth. So now in games 2-2.
Our new Joe to face Nick who had had the best results in first half at one. Well what can i say? Perhaps Nick will want to forget this one as Joe did a job on him, 3-0 in about 40 x minutes! Enough said.
At the meal Nick suggested we raise our glasses to Ian Wright, excellant gesture.
Great games - great company - and just in case our local takeaway read this - great food! |
