| Report: | A good opening battle within the club to start the season. 1st up young elliott knight had a great battle with past captain Lee atkins coming through 3-1. Next door youth triumphed over age when Dean Nicholson beat the cagey John prowse
3-1 for his 1st ever victory over John, a great body serve entertained some of the gallery. Next up Steve wyatt demolished Tony pretty quick. At the same time Tony smith back from a 3 year squash playing gap was up against the young talented Saun atkinson. The 1st rally had me worn out & i was just watching. At about 5 or 6-1 down Tony tore a muscle & had to retire. Last up saw the welcome return to my team of young Hany taleb now back at 1 for us. A very entertaining game against dave thompson who had not played for a few weeks saw Hany come through 3-1 with shots i have never seen since his elder brother Adam used to play. Very nice food followed, shame the bar closed early and most players left early, mind you, school in the morning for some. |
