| Report: | A very close game & some poor performances from Bexley. Mandy v Michael was a non event at 2. Michael had the wrong head on & Mandy steam rollered him 3-1. Michael was as poor as i have ever seen him & Mandy dont take prisoners. 3-1 mandy.
Next up at 3 was Alan saxer & Elliott in a rematch from the 1st half which elliott won 3-2. Elliott again won this time 3-1 in a very good spirited match. Alan is a real gentleman on court
Next up at 4 was the lovely Karen v young Paul who is very much on form. easy 3-0 to Paul though Karen did have a good go in the 2nd.
Next up another rematch Peter Young v Dean. Peter beat dean 3-2 from 0-2 down at our place so this looked like a corker. Not to be though. Peter outplayed dean from start to finish 3-0. Dean had a gilmmer of hope in the 3rd leading 7-3 but could not close the game losing 10-8.
With the match nicely poised at 2-2 the one,s were on. Peter Wilmoor started very well with truly awesome drop shots that left steve dead. He went 9-1 9-3 and i thought we were in big trouble. However Steve wyatt is an old style squash player who does not think he can be beaten. He dug in hard winning 9-4 9-1 9-4 for a 3-2 win that clinched the match.
Nice fish and chips after with a bit of banter ending the evening. |
