Report: | A good comeback for the Bromley team after last week's heavy defeat to Tunbridge with an almost flawless 5-0 win over Wildernesse. The only flaw which prevented a 20 nil points win was the skipper doing his usual - going 2 games down before beginning the long tortuous road to a gritty 3/2 victory.
No such problems for any of my other team-mates all of whom registered comfortable 3-0 wins. Mike always in charge against Mick who had no answer to his opponent's notoriously deceptive boasts at the front of the court. Alastair had his first win of the season and hopefully his back problems are now behind him (as it were). The biggest win of the evening was Neil who gave Chris a bit of a battering. It seemed earlier that Chris was a bit reluctant to go on court as he was still upstairs unchanged while Neil was warming up on court. I think he must of known what was coming. And finally not to be outdone Tony went on and also won convincingly, although Mike was digging in and rallying particularly as the game went on. Tony had the all round stronger game though and was especially more able to kill off the rallies when the chance arrived.
The evening was finished off with a roast dinner followed by apple pie - what great value for money!!!!
