Report: | As ever a closely fought contest between Blackheath and Bromley. Blackheath managed to reverse the defeat they suffered in the first half of the season by winning the lower order matches.
Both teams cheered by the fact that Charlton managed to win their first game in 19 and proceed to the next round of the FA Cup.
*******************
I hope Dave doesn't mind but I couldn't help but pass comment about the match between the No.1s. An absolutely extraordinary turnaround in the game which saw Phil playing outstanding squash to win the first two games with Tony not winning a single point. You would not expect many players to come back from that sort of start but it was almost as if the first two games hadn't happened as Tony came back on court and set about taking the next 3 games in impressive style and even winning the 5th and final game to love. But again the lower order players let Bromley down and Blackheath deservedly won on the night, so well done to them.. and to the Addicks. ( Phil - Bromley) |
