Report: | After our promotion in the winter its back to reality with our top two players taking a break. It was looking pretty grim for us until Sunday when everyone decided they could play after all.
Warwick got us off to a cocky comfident start against Justin and Hylton was looking in control after being two up against a very loose Mehmet.
I then started my rematch with Mick, who beat me last time. Having had half his teeth removed in the last few days Mick was obviously suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and gifted me a fairly easy win.
Relieved not to have let the side down I then found out that Mehmet had got his act together and beaten Hylton. The final two could have gone either way so everything was in the balance.
Bob got off to a good start against Richard, going two up, so I gave most attention to Dave and Richard's close contest. Wild Dog raised his game somewhat into the third and fourth games and Richard also gets Man of the Match for pulling two back against Bob whilst looking the illest whilst remaining on his feet, admittedly with some controversial marking from Hylton.
As always, an enjoyable fixture. |
